The All Kinds of Minds model of teacher change—phases of
implementation—is based on a framework for supporting improvements in skill and
growth in abilities in order to lead to positive results, such as better
teaching and improved student outcomes. The model is derived in part from the
work of Hall & Hord and the National Implementation Research Network.
Exploring: Investigating the alignment of the Schools Attuned
approach with your philosophy of teaching and learning (e.g., reading one of
Dr. Mel Levine's books, attending an All Kinds of Minds event, reading the All
Kinds of Minds newsletter, etc.)
Developing: Learning the knowledge and developing the skills
of the Schools Attuned approach
Applying: Using the Schools Attuned approach in your practice
with support (e.g., participating in additional learning opportunities and
networking with the All Kinds of Minds community)
Integrating: Adopting the Schools Attuned approach into your
philosophy of teaching and learning
Sustaining & Advancing: Impacting broader learning
environments through your use of the Schools Attuned principles, content,
processes and tools
