This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance
with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of The
School of Medicine of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and All
Kinds of Minds. The School of Medicine of The University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education
for physicians.
The School of Medicine of The University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill designates this educational activity for up to 18.25 hours
in Category I toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Physicians should
claim only those hours of credit actually spent in the educational activity.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been
authorized by the International Association for Continuing Education and
Training (IACET) to award 1.80 continuing education units for
this program. The CEU is a nationally recognized unit of measure for continuing
education and training programs that meet certain criteria and quality
standards. Licensing boards, certifying bodies, and regulatory agencies may
differ in the way they recognize the CEU in fulfilling necessary professional
credit. Participants are encouraged to contact their licensing boards and
organizers to determine the appropriateness of using CEU’s for this purpose.
All Kinds of Minds is approved by the American Psychological
Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. All Kinds of
Minds maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Psychologists
who complete this course will earn up to 19.0 credits.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Division
of Speech and Hearing Sciences is approved by the Continuing Education Board of
the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing
education activities in speech-language pathology and audiology. This program
is offered for 1.8 CEUs (Intermediate level; professional
area). ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content,
specific products, or clinical procedures.
