4/17/2006 need to rewrite 6/17, 2006

1.) They have even denied my children with dyslexia the confidence in whom they are.
And what their educational needs are.

2.) Parent and doctors state student is eligible for S.E. and section504

3.) They learn to find the gift in dyslexia. (Or any difficulty one may have)

4.) Student has tutors through grade five.

5.) Child believes in parents and their ability to change schools policies and interpretation of whom legally is eligible to recieve remediation in the researched method to give student oppurtunity to be at grade level before they enter the real world of educational demands.

6.) School continues to denie one is eligible if one has ability in chemistry and other higher level thinking skills.

7.) All through the years my children believed in my advocacy.

8.) Worked diligently in hopes of future goals.

9.) Denied reader or extra time on ACT.

10.) The day came when we lost the (so called Hearing) denied .Even though MET was not educated in specific area of dyslexia .MET was educated in L.D. 12 years ago.

So

11.) Denied anything

12.) Always knew needs and strengths. Denied their integrity. Denied researched knowledge of one with dyslexia and their needs.

13.) Down deep I know my children are not sure any longer the truth, medical truth, educational needs -truth.

14.) re-diagnosis in 2005 dyslexia and possible ADD.

15.) College states two are eligible.

16) If one thinks transition is not important, they are wrong .if talking about my children. The school has caused much more negative responce than lack of education in impaired areas. Will write soon. In hopes to help others. The affects this has had on our family has been refreshed and expanded. I can not think about it in entirety let alone write of it as of yet. It took me eight years to write of a very painful act of ignorance of one staff member.

Not only denial of FAPE. They even took the security in knowing the truth. They said so many harmful statements.

You don't have dyslexia

I don't see a problem

It's your mother’s fault you have to retake this test.

I don't understand why she wants you to retake the test.

You are in Chemistry? We’ll that's a hard class.

Talking to each other teacher and evaluator: in office while daughter and friends are standing next to them I don't know why (her name) mom had me test her for S.E. the staff members went on and on our daughter left the office.

.The Next day at school someone put a note on her book in the binding sleeve Words SPED she didn't remove it. She said she just couldn't.

Denied the oppurtunity for school transition.

Our daughters have payed for ignorance.

I can't talk to them any longer with the acceptance I taught them.

The Hearing and whole process Losing. Their word against mine and my husband.

Our children have been our lives. Now they even took part of our Family -ness.

What will they do college next year that is if still accepted.GPA gone down from 4.0 to 3.957 to 3.937

Yes they can do calculus and have reading, writing and spelling in elementary in areas to call it reading.

With no grading on spelling in anatomy or any classes, no books to be read, peer editing and denial of state testing the GPA was fine denied S.E. or 504 because of good grades now they are lowering the GPA every month.

Why they might as well be considered the detriment to our lives. Not only deny us, let’s just confuse their perception of their identity. Mary Burger December, 10, 2005 ilnevrgivup@yahoo.com
