Moving to Maryland

Hi, hopefully we are going to settle in Howard County Maryland (Woodstock) as a transitional year prior to buying a home in Maryland. I am getting a job in Towson and also would like to be near friends in Sykesville. My 8 yo has NLD, would be considered Asperegers but fortunately he is too socially connected for that DX. He does have a varity of social pragmmatic deficits, but really wants to connect . we are leaving an area in the northeast where he has terrible exp in school. Wondered if there are schools public or private to recommend the the Howard County area. Was initially planning the move to mongomery county (friends there also, but could not find a job there).
Also he has a number of eye tracking a visual spacial problems, was considering schlepping him into the Wachs clinic in DC but see that there is a center for visual therapy in Baltimore. does anyone have exp with that. finally wanted to enroll him in hippo therapy, he is the best with animals, any resources in howard county, since it seems like horse country. thanks for your help in advance . i am a psychiatrist by training and hope to be an active member of this community . also wasn't sure if this subsection of the discussion board was the best place to post this general query. regards jeanne serafin |
