Understanding All Kinds of Minds helps develop an alliance between parents and
other caregivers, educators, and children to support success in school and at
home. The program assists parents and caregivers seeking information and
strategies to help their children experience success in learning.
The three primary components of Understanding All Kinds of Minds are All Kinds
of Minds Fairs, Learning about Learning Workshops, and the online Parent
Toolkit. The Fairs and Workshops serve as implementation tools for educators
who participate in the Schools Attuned professional development program that
helps educators meet the diverse learning needs of K-12 students. Understanding
All Kinds of Minds is a product of All Kinds of Minds and at this time is only
disseminated as part of the Schools Attuned Program at no cost to the educator.

The All Kinds of Minds Fair is designed around the premise
that students are ambassadors to their families. The Fair leverages students’
strengths and affinities to provide entertaining and interactive learning
experiences for the entire family – parents, guardians, grandparents, other
caregivers, and siblings.
Fair participants visit a series of stations with fun learning activities. Each
student-staffed activity demonstrates a system of the neurodevelopmental
framework that underlies learning. Parents are presented with general concepts
to build their understanding of this framework and its application to their
children’s educational progress.

neurodevelopmental lens and to identify strategies to support children in
accomplishing schoolwork tasks successfully. Topics include: Mastering the
Challenges of Homework, Organized for Learning, Paying Attention, Learning and

caregivers, and educators a better understanding of learning processes,
insights into difficulties, and strategies for responding on the subjects of
attention, math, reading, and writing.
